Designed by Chung‑yen Chang and Tian Jin, the Hug chair collection brings together comfort, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. Named for its warm, embracing form, Hug blends the elegance of two timeless chair archetypes: the Chinese Ming‑style circle chair and the Thonet Vienna N.811 armchair. The original armchair, introduced in 2019, features a continuous, enveloping line that forms the armrests and front legs, celebrating the expressive potential of solid ash wood. In 2021, the side chair version joined the collection, offering the same refined aesthetic without arms. Upholstered seats, natural or stained ash finishes, and graceful curves make Hug ideal for dining, hospitality, and contemporary interiors.
